Two-way Xero sync is live on Pro

Quotes and invoices now sync over Xero's API for connected Pro organisations, with a direction switch per document type and nothing moving until you choose.

Product update · 24 August 2026 · 3 min read

When the Xero connection shipped, we said the sync would follow and that we would announce it here. It has. From today, Pro and Enterprise organisations that have connected Xero can sync quotes and invoices over Xero's API, both ways.

How it works

  • You choose a direction for each document type: push to Xero, pull from Xero, both ways, or off. Quotes and invoices are set independently, because real shops split them: quotes arriving from Xero while invoices are raised in ONYX1 and pushed out.
  • Nothing moves until you choose. Connecting your organisation does not start a sync on its own; the owner connects first and picks directions second, deliberately.
  • A sync ledger with content hashing keeps the two systems honest, so a document is never pushed twice and a change is never silently lost.
  • Webhooks pick up changes made in Xero, so an invoice updated by your accountant flows back without anyone pressing a button.

What every plan keeps

The Xero-shaped CSV exports are unchanged and ungated on every plan, and the same money rules apply to sync that apply everywhere else: techs never see the money, only owners and admins can touch the connection, and the audit trail records what left the system and when.
