Safety forms that must be signed before clock-in
Make a signed safety form the key to the clock on every job. Each worker signs their own, and no one can delete an incident report.

A safety form filled in at smoko, after the risky part of the day, is a record of good intentions. ONYX1 puts the form where it counts: before the timer starts.
How the gate works
You build your own forms in ONYX1, such as a pre-work check or a toolbox talk. Tick one box and that form must be signed before anyone can clock in on a job.
- It covers every job, and it applies to everyone, the owner included.
- Each worker signs for themselves, once per job, before their first clock-in there. Nobody can sign on their behalf.
- Every tick box on the form must be ticked before it can be signed, and the time it was signed is kept.
- The app checks it, and the database checks it again, so there is no side door.
Time that is not on a job is not gated. It shows on the timesheet instead, and it is flagged for the approver when no reason is given.
Change a form without stopping work
Editing a form publishes a new version. Crew who already signed it stay signed, so nobody is locked out mid-job. The old version stays on file as the record of what they signed. Once a form has been filled in, it can be retired but not deleted, so the signed copies stay.
Incidents stay on the record
Anyone on the team can log an incident or near miss in a few taps, from the job or from Incidents. They pick the type and severity, say what happened, and tick a box if it is a WorkSafe-notifiable event. There is nothing to approve, so nothing waits.
The office can add what was done and close it. Nobody can delete it: not a worker, not the office, not the owner. The database itself refuses. When someone leaves, removing them switches their login off instead, so the incidents they logged stay on the register.
What it is, and what it is not
Safety form templates come with every plan. ONYX1 does not write your safety system, and it does not make you compliant. It keeps the evidence that you ran it, made at the moment the work happened.
